Fence cladding
Traditional wire fencing is dull and ordinary, and it takes several years to grow a decent hedge. What’s more, it requires a lot of maintenance. Are you considering rebuilding your current fence and replacing it with a stone fence? There are two great options: you can either use gabion baskets and gabions, or—if you already have a solid foundation—natural stones for fences will do the job beautifully. In this category, we offer high-quality materials such as quartzite, marble, sandstone, travertine, slate, limestone, gneiss, andesite, and porphyry—all durable choices that will withstand decades of use.
Broken Stones for Fences
In most cases, irregularly shaped stones are used for fences. These are mainly applied as exterior cladding materials and include slate, limestone, marble, sandstone, gneiss, and andesite, among others. Each type of stone has its own character and color variation, allowing you to create a natural, timeless look. We have all the most common stones for fences ready for you—simply choose, select the quantity, and order!
Surface Treatments
Our fance cladding stones come in a variety of surface finishes to suit different styles and functions:
- Sandblasted – a textured, slightly rough surface
- Tumbled – a process that softens edges and gives the stone an aged, weathered appearance while maintaining a pleasant, tactile smoothness.
- Split – rough, natural split-face texture
- Brushed – smooth but with a subtle texture
- Honed – a very fine, even surface with a soft sheen; smooth to the touch but non-reflective
- Polished – smooth, sleek edges for a refined appearance
- Rock Face – a natural, rugged surface that preserves the stone’s original texture and character, perfect for a bold, rustic look
- Stone Veneer – thin, decorative slices of natural stone that create the appearance of a full stone wall while being lighter and easier to install
Special note: Travertine features soft tones and a fine texture, available either filled or unfilled depending on the desired look. Large travertine tiles can be VC (vein cut), revealing elegant linear patterns, or CC (cross cut), highlighting a more cloud-like, natural structure.
A Stone Fence is an Excellent Choice!
We don’t say this just because we sell stones for fences—stone fences truly stand out for their lasting beauty and practicality. They require virtually no maintenance, provided they are installed by a skilled craftsman. Ask your friends or neighbors who already have a stone fence if they’re satisfied. Honestly, has anyone ever said anything negative about them?
