Stone veneer
Stone veneer is a modern way to bring real stone into interiors and exteriors without the weight and bulk of full-thickness cladding. Ultra-thin sheets deliver the natural look of slate, marble or sandstone while staying light, flexible and easy to install—perfect for walls, furniture, feature panels and even gently curved surfaces.
Flexible stone
Thin stone veneer (often called flexible stone, flexistone or lightweight stone veneer) is made from a real stone surface bonded to a flexible backing. Typical panels measure 122 × 61 cm (48 × 24 in) with a thickness around 2–3 mm (≈0.08–0.12 in) and a weight of roughly ≈2 kg/m². Despite the slim profile, it retains the authentic color, texture and veining of natural stone.
Flexistone applications:
- Interior walls & features: Create warm, natural accent walls in living rooms, bedrooms, offices and hallways. Ideal for TV walls, fireplace surrounds or headboard panels.
- Bathrooms & spas: Moisture-resistant panels suit shower walls, niches and vanities, delivering a refined, stone-rich look with minimal joints.
- Kitchens: Use as a stone veneer backsplash or behind a kitchen island for a sophisticated, easy-to-clean surface.
- Furniture & joinery: Wrap cabinet fronts, doors, reception desks or custom millwork for a unique, tactile finish.
- Exterior applications: Weather-resistant exterior stone veneer elevates façades, garden walls, columns and covered outdoor rooms. Its low weight makes retrofits and over-cladding straightforward.
Benefits of Thin Stone Veneer:
- Authentic material: It’s real stone—no repeating prints, just natural variation and depth.
- Ultra-light & flexible: Panels conform to gentle curves and can be installed on substrates that couldn’t carry full-bed stone.
- Durable by design: Resistant to everyday wear and environmental exposure when installed with quality adhesives and sealers.
- Sustainable choice: Uses a thin slice of stone, reducing material extraction while maximizing coverage.
- Fast installation: Cuts with common tools, bonds with flexible adhesives, and requires minimal surface preparation.
