The unfilled surface finish preserves the authentic look of natural travertine, giving your outdoor environment a unique character. It is primarily intended for outdoor use as paving for terraces, around swimming pools, houses, sidewalks, parking areas, and more.
Despite its robustness, Light travertine requires only minimal maintenance. Once installed, you will enjoy its beauty for many years to come.
Our tip:
We recommend the special impregnating agent HMK - S 242, which prevents water and dirt from penetrating all natural stone surfaces. The color and structure are optimized thanks to the substances contained in the product, which also enhance the color tone of the paving.
Frequently asked questions:
Are natural stone tiles slip-resistant?
Most of our natural tiles have excellent slip-resistant properties, making them a popular choice for various applications. Granite, sandstone, and limestone are among the best slip-resistant materials. These types are used not only outdoors (sidewalks, terraces, pool areas), but also indoors – for example, in bathrooms, kitchens, and entryways. Travertine can also be slip-resistant in some cases, mainly due to its naturally rougher surface. However, it is necessary to take into account the specific surface treatment – some variants increase slip resistance, while others can soften the surface. Therefore, we recommend consulting an expert on the selection of travertine depending on the place of use.
Are natural stone tiles or paving frost-resistant?
Yes, natural stone is generally frost-resistant. Granite, sandstone, and limestone are highly resistant to frost and temperature changes. Travertine and marble can also be frost-resistant, but it depends on their structure, density, and surface finish. When choosing for outdoor use, we recommend that you consult with us to select the right type for your conditions.
How are tiles laid on concrete?
A flexible adhesive labeled C2TES1 is used. White adhesive for light-colored tiles, gray adhesive for dark stones. The adhesive is applied to both surfaces in a thickness of approx. 1 cm. Laying on concrete is mainly done with thinner tiles 1-2 cm thick. For some types of stone tiles, e.g., split stone tiles, it is also possible to lay them on mortar (Quick-mix FMX).
