Chopped paving stones made of dark gray basalt are characterized by very low water absorption and high resistance to pressure and frost. Paving stones are used for laying roads or squares in the form of so-called cat's heads, laid in a mortar bed. Basalt paving stones are suitable for vehicle traffic and resistant to road salt across their entire surface. When ordering, allow for a margin due to stone splitting (thickness variation) and order an average of 5-7% extra.
